Calzone Filling
Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Dough
Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Roll out pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface.
- 2
Mix the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the pepperoni, capicola, ham, salami, ricotta, mozzarella, provolone, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- 3
Fill the Calzone
Place a generous portion of the meat and cheese mixture on one half of the dough circle, leaving about an inch of border. Fold the other half over to cover the filling.
- 4
Seal the Edges
Press the edges together to seal, then crimp with a fork to ensure the filling doesn’t leak out.
- 5
Bake the Calzone
Transfer the calzone to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve warm.
