Preparation

Calzone Preparation

1. Prepare the Dough

Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to a circle about 12 inches in diameter.

2. Fill the Calzone

Spread the ricotta cheese on one half of the dough. Layer mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, and mushrooms on top. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

3. Fold and Seal

Fold the dough over to cover the filling and pinch the edges to seal. Brush the top with olive oil.

4. Bake the Calzone

Place the calzone on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
