Method

Preparing the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Boil the Shrimp

Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.

  2. 2

    Chill the Shrimp

Once cooked, immediately remove the shrimp from the pot and transfer them to a bowl filled with ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them sit for about 5 minutes until chilled.

  3. 3

    Season the Shrimp

Drain the shrimp from the ice water and pat them dry. Toss the shrimp in the Old Bay seasoning until they are evenly coated.

Making the Cocktail Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and a few dashes of Tabasco sauce.

  2. 5

    Mix Well

Stir the ingredients together until well blended. Taste and adjust the Tabasco sauce to your desired spice level.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Shrimp

Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.

  2. 7

    Serve with Sauce and Lemon

Serve the shrimp with the house cocktail sauce on the side and garnish with fresh lemon wedges.
