Preparation Steps
Prepare the Glass
Start by placing a large ice cube or several smaller ice cubes into an Old Fashioned glass.
Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, combine the demerara sugar and Angostura bitters. Muddle together until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
Stir
Add ice to the mixing glass and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared Old Fashioned glass over the ice.
Garnish
Garnish with a slice of orange peel, expressing the oils over the drink before dropping it in.
