Burger Preparation
1. Prepare the Burger Patties
In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide the beef into two equal portions and shape them into patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.
2. Cook the Patties
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness, or until desired doneness is achieved.
3. Prepare the Toppings
While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and onion. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Set aside the pickles.
4. Assemble the Burger
Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the bottom half of each brioche bun. Place a cooked patty on each bun, then layer with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
5. Serve
Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
