Method

Hummus Preparation

1

Blend the Ingredients

In a food processor, combine canned chickpeas, tahini, garlic cloves, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water. Blend until smooth.

2

Adjust Consistency

If the hummus is too thick, add additional water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

Balsamic Reduction Preparation

3

Combine Ingredients

In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey. Stir well.

4

Simmer

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until it thickens.

Flatbread Preparation

5

Mix the Dough

In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, water, olive oil, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.

6

Knead the Dough

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

7

Roll and Cook

Divide the dough into small balls, roll them out into flat discs, and cook them on a hot skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Vegetable Garnish Preparation

8

Prepare the Vegetables

Dice the tomato, slice the roasted red peppers, cucumber, and apple into thin slices.

9

Chop Almonds

Roughly chop the almonds for garnish.

Serving

10

Plate the Dish

Spread the hummus on a serving platter, drizzle with balsamic reduction, and arrange the diced vegetables and almonds around it. Serve with flatbread.
