Gouda Melt

Parmesan Truffle Fries

Method

Gouda Melt

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Thinly slice the medium onion and set aside. Shred the cooked beef if not already shredded.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the sliced onion and sauté until they are soft and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bread

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter. Toast each slice of bread until golden brown on both sides.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Melt

On one slice of toasted bread, layer shredded beef, sautéed onions, and gouda cheese. Spread chipotle aioli on another slice and place it on top to create a sandwich.

  5. 5

    Heat the Sandwich

Return the sandwich to the skillet. Cook on medium heat until the cheese melts, about 3-4 minutes per side. Press down slightly with a spatula to ensure even cooking.

  6. 6

    Slice and Serve

Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.

Parmesan Truffle Fries

  1. 7

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the French fries according to package instructions, either baking or frying them until crispy.

  2. 8

    Season the Fries

Once the fries are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Drizzle with truffle oil, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to combine.

  3. 9

    Serve

Serve the seasoned fries alongside the Gouda Melt for a delicious meal.
