Halibut Pie Ingredients

Method

Halibut Pie Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble, reserving drippings in the pan. Add olive oil and butter to the skillet, then sauté the onion until translucent. Add the potatoes, carrots, and parsnips, cooking until slightly tender.

  2. 2

    Add Greens and Halibut

Stir in the chopped greens and halibut cheeks, along with the vegetable broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until the halibut is opaque and the greens are wilted. Remove from heat and add lemon juice.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Pie

Transfer the filling into a greased baking dish. Evenly spread the brown bread crumbs on top.

  4. 4

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the pie for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

    Serve

Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Halibut Pie warm!
