Method

Prepare the Pudding

  1. 1

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Add Milk

Gradually add the milk to the dry ingredients, whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Place the saucepan over medium heat.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mixture

Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble. This should take about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Chocolate and Vanilla

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and vanilla extract until smooth.

  5. 5

    Cool the Pudding

Transfer the pudding to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap (press it directly onto the surface to prevent a skin), and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Assemble the Dessert

  1. 6

    Prepare the Base

Once the pudding is chilled, take it out of the refrigerator and layer half of the crushed Bud’s Best® chocolate cookies at the bottom of serving dishes.

  2. 7

    Layer the Pudding

Spoon the chocolate pudding over the layer of cookies, filling each dish to about halfway.

  3. 8

    Add Remaining Cookies

Sprinkle the remaining crushed cookies on top of the pudding.

  4. 9

    Top with Whipped Cream

Finally, top each dessert with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
