Sirloin Marinade & Searing
Finish & Vegetables
Method
Marinate & Sear Sirloin
- 1
Marinate beef
In a large bowl, toss the sirloin cubes with soy sauce, honey, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated. Let rest 15–20 minutes to absorb flavors.
- 2
Sear beef
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated sirloin in batches and sear until browned on all sides, about 2–3 minutes per batch. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
- 3
Make glaze
Pour any remaining marinade into the skillet along with the beef broth (or water). Scrape up browned bits and simmer 2–3 minutes until the liquid reduces slightly to form a glaze.
- 4
Coat beef with glaze
Return the seared beef to the pan and toss to coat in the glaze. Keep warm while finishing the asparagus.
