Cooking Instructions
- 1
Bake the Potatoes
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Scrub the russet potatoes under cold water, then pat them dry with a towel. Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape. Rub them lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork.
- 2
Prepare the Toppings
While the potatoes are baking, prepare your toppings. Chop the green onions, cook the bacon until crispy and crumble it, and shred the cheddar cheese.
- 3
Assemble the Loaded Potatoes
Once the potatoes are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Carefully slice each potato open lengthwise, fluff the insides with a fork, and add butter to taste. Top each potato with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and chopped green onions.

Serve and Enjoy
Serve the loaded baked potatoes immediately while they're hot. Add additional salt and pepper to taste, if desired.
