Prepare the Onions
Peel the onions and slice them into 1/4-inch thick rings. Separate the rings and set them aside.

Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Coat the Onion Rings
Dip each onion ring into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with breadcrumbs.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Onion Rings
Carefully place the coated onion rings into the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Dipping Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.

Serve the crispy onion rings hot with the spicy dipping sauce on the side.
