Crab Cake Mixture
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Crab Cake Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the jumbo lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, green onions, beaten egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Gently fold the ingredients together until just combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat.
- 2
Form the Crab Cakes
Using your hands, divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into thick patties. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- 3
Cook the Crab Cakes
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of oil. Once hot, add the crab cakes to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
- 4
Assemble the Sandwich
Toast the craft rolls lightly. Place a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato on the bottom half of each roll. Top with a hot crab cake, then spread tartar sauce on top before closing the sandwich with the other half of the roll.
- 5
Serve with Curly Fries
Serve the crab cake sandwiches with a side of curly fries for a delightful meal.
