Steak and Frites Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips to make fries. Soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  3. 3

    Cook the Fries

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, and rosemary. Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

While the fries are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in chopped parsley and set aside.

  5. 5

    Season the Steak

Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  6. 6

    Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.

  7. 7

    Serve

Let the steaks rest for a few minutes after grilling. Drizzle the garlic butter over the steaks and serve alongside the crispy fries.
