1

Prepare glass

Fill a double old-fashioned glass (or tiki mug) about 3/4 full with crushed ice and set aside to chill while you mix.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Kraken Black Rum, 0.75 oz triple sec, 0.5 oz Fee Brothers Orgeat, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1.5 oz pineapple juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional). Fill the shaker with ice.

3

Shake

Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is well-chilled and slightly frosted. The orgeat will emulsify with the citrus and juices.

4

Strain

Using a hawthorne strainer (or fine mesh if desired), strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over the crushed ice.

5

Float (optional)

If you want the classic layered look and extra rum aroma, carefully float 0.5 oz aged rum over the back of a spoon on top of the drink so it sits on the surface.

6

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a fresh mint sprig (slap the mint between your palms to release aroma), a pineapple wedge or lime wheel, and a cocktail cherry if desired. Serve with a straw and enjoy.
