    In a dry skillet over medium heat, add the cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black peppercorns, and dry red chilies. Roast them for about 5-7 minutes or until they become fragrant and slightly darker in color.

    Cooling the Mixture

    Remove the skillet from heat and allow the roasted spices to cool completely.

    Grinding

    Once cooled, transfer the roasted spices to a spice grinder or a mortar and pestle. Add the turmeric powder and salt. Grind until you achieve a fine powder consistency.

    Storing

    Store the masala jeera powder in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. It should remain fresh for several weeks.
