Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1: Boil the Milk

In a large saucepan, bring the full-fat milk to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent it from burning. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer until it reduces to about half its original volume.

  2. 2

    Step 2: Add Ingredients

Add sugar, heavy cream, condensed milk, and cardamom powder to the reduced milk. Stir well to combine all the ingredients and let it cook for another 10-15 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken.

  3. 3

Step 3: Incorporate Saffron and Nuts

Add the saffron strands and chopped pistachios to the mixture, stirring well to evenly distribute.

  4. 4

    Step 4: Cool the Mixture

Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.

  5. 5

    Step 5: Freeze the Kulfi

Pour the cooled mixture into kulfi molds or small cups. Cover and place them in the freezer for at least 6-8 hours or until fully set.

  6. 6

    Step 6: Serve

To serve, remove the kulfi from the molds by running warm water over the molds for a few seconds. Enjoy your homemade Malai Kulfi!
