Method
Prepare the Filling
Chop the Shrimp
Finely chop the peeled and deveined shrimp and place in a large mixing bowl.
Add Remaining Ingredients
Add the ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the shrimp.
Mix the Filling
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. You can use your hands or a spatula to mix.
Assemble the Dumplings
Prepare the Wrappers
Take a wonton wrapper and place it in the palm of your hand.
Fill the Wrapper
Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling into the center of the wrapper.
Shape the Dumpling
Gently fold the wrapper over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Pinch the edges to seal securely. You can also pleat the edges for a decorative look.
Repeat
Repeat the filling and shaping process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Steam the Dumplings
Prepare the Steamer
Line a bamboo steamer or a steaming basket with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Place Dumplings in Steamer
Arrange the dumplings in a single layer in the steamer, making sure they do not touch each other.
Serve
Remove the dumplings from the steamer and serve immediately with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
