Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Skewers

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during cooking.

2

Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced lamb, chopped coriander, chopped mint, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, lemon juice, and all the spices (garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, and black pepper).

3

Knead the Mixture

Knead the mixture with your hands for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes sticky and well combined.

Forming Kebabs

4

Shape the Kebabs

Take a portion of the mixture (about 100 grams) and mold it onto a skewer, rolling and pressing it to form a thick sausage shape that adheres to the skewer.

5

Repeat

Repeat the process for the remaining mixture, placing each skewer on a plate once formed.

Cooking

6

Preheat the Grill or Oven

Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F).

7

Cook the Kebabs

Lightly oil the grill or baking tray. Place the skewers on the grill or tray and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kebabs are browned and cooked through.

8

Check for Doneness

Ensure the internal temperature of the kebabs reaches at least 70°C (160°F).

Serving

9

Serve

Remove the kebabs from the skewers and serve hot with naan, yogurt sauce, or mint chutney.
