1. Prepare the Vegetables

Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Chop the onion and tomato finely. Mince the ginger and garlic.

2. Heat Oil

In a large pan, heat the oil over medium heat.

3. Sauté Spices

Add cumin seeds to the hot oil and sauté for a few seconds until they start to crackle.

4. Cook Onions

Add the chopped onion and sauté until they turn golden brown.

5. Add Ginger & Garlic

Stir in the minced ginger and garlic, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

6. Add Tomatoes

Add the chopped tomato and cook until it softens and mixes well with the onion.

7. Add Spices

Sprinkle in turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

8. Add Potatoes & Water

Add the diced potatoes, green peas, and water to the pan. Stir well.

9. Simmer

Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

10. Finish with Garam Masala

Once cooked, sprinkle garam masala and stir gently. Let it cook for another 2 minutes.

11. Garnish

Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
