Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.
- 2
Mix the Coating
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, fermented pepper, honey, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- 3
Coat the Brussels Sprouts
Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the bowl and toss them in the mixture until evenly coated.
- 4
Prepare the Shallot
Finely chop the shallot and set it aside.
- 5
Bake the Brussels Sprouts
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the coated Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown, flipping them halfway through.
- 6
Add Shallot
In the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle the chopped shallot over the Brussels sprouts and return to the oven.
- 7
Serve
Once done, remove from the oven and serve warm. Enjoy your crispy Brussels sprouts!
