Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Rub both sides of the steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the seasoned steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Fries

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to resemble fries. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches, cooking for about 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt immediately while hot.

Garlic Butter

  1. 5

    Make Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic cloves and cook for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic. Stir in chopped fresh parsley and salt. Remove from heat.
