Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Make Crust Mixture

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated and resemble wet sand.

  3. 3

    Form Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch (23 cm) springform pan, ensuring it is even and compact.

  4. 4

    Bake Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool while preparing the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Vanilla

Gradually add granulated sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese, mixing until well combined.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Sour Cream

Add the sour cream to the mixture and blend until everything is smooth.

  4. 8

    Add Eggs

Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 9

    Add Flour

Sift in the all-purpose flour and mix gently until just incorporated.

  6. 10

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  7. 11

    Bake Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  8. 12

    Cool the Cheesecake

Turn off the oven and crack the door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for about 1 hour.

  9. 13

    Chill the Cheesecake

Remove the cheesecake from the oven, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Topping Preparation

  1. 14

    Prepare Berries

In a small bowl, toss the fresh berries with powdered sugar to coat them lightly.

  2. 15

    Top Cheesecake

Once the cheesecake is chilled and set, top it with the berry mixture before serving.
