Brussel Sprouts

Sweet Soy & Lime Glaze

Candied Almond Crumble

Method

Preparing the Brussel Sprouts

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brussel Sprouts

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Trim the ends of the brussel sprouts and cut them in half. In a bowl, toss the sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well coated.

  2. 2

    Roast the Brussel Sprouts

Spread the brussel sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown, tossing halfway through.

Making the Sweet Soy & Lime Glaze

  1. 3

    Combine the Glaze Ingredients

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture begins to simmer. Reduce heat and let it cook for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.

Candied Almond Crumble

  1. 4

    Prepare the Candied Almonds

In a skillet over medium heat, combine chopped almonds, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Stir constantly for about 5-7 minutes until the almonds are toasted and the syrup has caramelized slightly. Remove from heat and let cool.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 5

    Combine Everything

Once the brussel sprouts are roasted, drizzle them with the sweet soy and lime glaze. Top with the candied almond crumble and serve warm.
