Lamb Chops

Mashed Potatoes

Method

Lamb Chops Preparation

1

Season the Lamb

Pat the lamb chops dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

2

Prepare Garlic & Herb Butter

In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, and 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Mix until well combined.

3

Sear the Lamb Chops

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the lamb chops and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.

4

Add Butter Mixture

Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the garlic and herb butter to the skillet. Baste the lamb chops with the melted butter using a spoon for about 2 minutes.

5

Rest the Lamb Chops

Remove the lamb chops from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

6

Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into even pieces. Boil them in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

7

Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 1 cup of milk, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper.

8

Mix Until Smooth

Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork until they reach your desired consistency, smooth and creamy.
