Pasta Preparation
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cheese Sauce Preparation
Add Milk
Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to whisk until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
Incorporate Cream Cheese
Add the cream cheese to the saucepan and whisk until completely melted and combined.
Add the Cheeses
Stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, Gruyère, blue cheese, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.
Combine and Bake
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the cooked elbow macaroni with the cheese sauce, mixing until the pasta is evenly coated.
Assemble and Bake
Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle the toasted breadcrumb mixture evenly on top. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
Serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your creamy Five Cheese Mac & Cheese!
