Method

For the Chicken Fingers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Your Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. Mix garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper into the breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dredge each chicken strip in flour, shaking off excess. Dip in the egg, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.

  4. 4

    Fry the Chicken

Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken strips and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

For the Fries

  1. 5

    Cut the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 6

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 7

    Season the Potatoes

Drain and pat dry the potatoes. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  4. 8

    Bake the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
