Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salad Base

Wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Vegetables

Thinly slice the red onion and add it to the salad bowl. Toss together with the lettuce.

  3. 3

    Add Croutons and Cheese

Add croutons and grated parmesan cheese to the salad bowl and toss gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss until everything is evenly coated.

  5. 5

    Cook the Sirloin

Season the sirloin with blackening spice and pan-sear in a skillet over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  6. 6

    Finish the Salad

Slice the blackened sirloin and place on top of the salad. Sprinkle crumbled bleu cheese on top before serving.

Garlic Bread Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the melted butter along with chopped parsley. Stir well.

  2. 8

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on each half.

  3. 9

    Toast the Bread

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the baguette halves on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes or until golden and crispy.

  4. 10

    Serve

Remove the garlic bread from the oven and cut into pieces. Serve warm alongside the Black N' Bleu Sirloin salad.
