Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cavatappi pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cheese Sauce

  1. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, whisk in the flour to create a roux, cooking for about 2 minutes until golden.

  2. 3

    Add Milk

Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Continue to cook until the mixture thickens and bubbles.

  3. 4

    Incorporate Cheeses

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cheddar, Monterey Jack, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Combine and Bake

  1. 5

    Combine Pasta and Cheese Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta and cheese sauce. Mix well until all pasta is coated.

  2. 6

    Prepare Topping

In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, and paprika together.

  3. 7

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese to a greased baking dish, sprinkle the panko topping over the top, and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Salad Preparation

  1. 8

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine.

Garlic Bread Preparation

  1. 9

    Prepare the Garlic Bread

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the French bread in half lengthwise. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Spread the mixture evenly on the cut sides of the bread.

  2. 10

    Bake the Garlic Bread

Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes, until golden and toasted.
