Chicken Preparation

Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Set Up Breading Station
Place the flour in a shallow dish, beat the eggs in another shallow dish, and combine breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a third dish.

Bread the Chicken
First, coat each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess. Next, dip in the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off, and finally coat with the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Cook the Chicken
Add the breaded chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
Topping

Add Marinara Sauce
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the cooked chicken breasts in a baking dish and top each with 1/2 cup of marinara sauce.

Add Mozzarella Cheese
Sprinkle 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese over the marinara sauce on each chicken breast.

Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, and serve hot.
