Method
Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Romaine Lettuce
Wash the Romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Remove any damaged outer leaves, and then chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place the chopped lettuce in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Parmesan Cheese and Croutons
Grate or shave the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the chopped Romaine lettuce. Add the croutons on top.
Dressing Preparation
- 3
Mix the Dressing Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
- 4
Incorporate Olive Oil
While whisking, slowly drizzle in the olive oil to emulsify the dressing. Continue to whisk until the dressing is creamy and well combined.
Assembly
- 5
Combine Salad and Dressing
Pour the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad mixture in the large bowl. Toss gently to coat the Romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, and croutons evenly with the dressing.
- 6
Serve
Serve the Caesar salad immediately on chilled plates. Optionally, garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper.
