Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Paneer

Cut the paneer into small cubes and keep them aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare Spices

In a small bowl, mix turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté Vegetables

In a pan, heat cooking oil or ghee over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

  2. 4

    Add Aromatics

Add grated ginger, minced garlic, and slit green chili to the pan. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the raw smell disappears.

  3. 5

    Incorporate Tomatoes and Spices

Add the pureed tomatoes to the pan. Stir in the spice mix you prepared earlier. Cook until the oil separates from the mixture, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 6

    Add Paneer and Water

Gently add the paneer cubes and water to the pan. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.

  5. 7

    Make it Creamy

Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  6. 8

    Garnish

Finally, add chopped cashews and raisins on top. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
