Method
Preparation of Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Begin by cutting the chicken breast into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, place flour in the first bowl, whisked eggs in the second bowl, and bread crumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in the third bowl.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it into the egg, allowing excess to drip off, and finally coat it in the seasoned bread crumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
Cooking Chicken Tenders
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large, deep skillet or fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add a few breaded chicken strips to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a thermometer to ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat with remaining chicken strips.
Serving Dipping Sauces
- 7
Prepare Dipping Sauces
In small bowls, serve BBQ sauce, Buffalo sauce, and Ranch dressing alongside the chicken tenders for dipping.
