Preparation of Ingredients

1

Prepare the Fish

Rinse the sea bass fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and set aside.

2

Make the Pineapple Garlic Soy Sauce

In a bowl, combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, sesame oil, and honey. Mix well until the honey is fully dissolved.

Steaming the Fish

3

Set Up the Steamer

Fill a steamer pot with water and bring it to a boil. If using a bamboo steamer, ensure it is lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.

4

Layer Ingredients

Place the seasoned sea bass fillets in the steamer. Top each fillet with grated ginger and chopped scallions.

5

Add Sauce

Drizzle the prepared pineapple garlic soy sauce over the fish fillets.

6

Steam the Fish

Cover the steamer and steam the fish for about 10-12 minutes, or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

7

Plate the Dish

Carefully remove the fish from the steamer and place it on serving plates. Spoon any remaining sauce from the steamer over the top.

8

Garnish and Serve

Garnish with lime wedges and fresh cilantro leaves. Serve immediately with steamed rice or vegetables.
