Method
Crab Puff Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crab Puff Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the Dungeness crab meat, cream cheese, egg, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- 2
Prepare the Puff Pastry
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 4 equal squares.
- 3
Fill the Pastries
Place a generous tablespoon of the crab filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket and seal the edges by pressing them together.
- 4
Brush with Olive Oil
Transfer the filled pastries onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with olive oil for a golden finish.
Baking the Crab Puffs
- 5
Bake the Puffs
Bake the crab puffs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed.
- 6
Cool
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
Peanut-Mustard Dipping Sauce Preparation
- 7
Mix the Dipping Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, honey, lime juice, and water until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency with more water if needed.
