Method
Prep & Consultation
- 1
Client intake & consent
Review the client's medical history, medications, allergies, current skincare (retinoids, acids), and specific concerns (hyperpigmentation, sensitivity, congestion, fine lines). Obtain informed consent for exfoliation and extractions. Confirm Fitzpatrick type and perform patch-test if indicated.
- 2
Set up & hygiene
Seat client comfortably. Secure hair with the soft headband (1 piece). Put on disposable gloves. Turn on the magnifying lamp/LED skin scope and perform a visual skin analysis of face, neck, and décolleté to map areas of concern and determine exfoliation intensity.
Deep Cleanse
- 3
Makeup/SPF removal (pre-cleanse)
Dispense 5 g cleansing balm into gloved hands. Warm briefly between palms and gently massage across the face, neck and décolleté for 60–90 seconds to dissolve makeup, sunscreen and surface oils. Emulsify with a little water and remove with a warm wet towel (1 of 2) using gentle, downward strokes.
- 4
Second cleanse
Apply 10 ml gentle foaming cleanser to damp skin and perform a light, thorough cleanse for 45–60 seconds, focusing on congested areas. Use steam (steam machine) or warm towels to soften pores: apply warm towel or 3–5 minutes of steam. Remove cleanser with cool-to-warm damp cotton pads (use 3–4 of the cotton pads). Pat skin dry with a clean towel.
Exfoliation & Renewal
- 5
Enzymatic exfoliation
Using the spatula/fan brush, apply an even layer of the enzymatic exfoliant (5 g) over the face, neck and décolleté, avoiding the immediate eye area. Leave in place for 5–8 minutes depending on sensitivity (monitor and observe for excessive erythema). This step gently dissolves surface corneocytes and brightens texture.
- 6
Remove enzymatic product
Remove the enzymatic exfoliant thoroughly with a warm damp towel. Lightly pat skin and assess tolerance. If skin is calm, proceed to the chemical renewal step. If there is moderate sensitivity or reactivity, skip the acid peel and continue to extractions and calming steps.
- 7
Lactic acid peel application
If skin tolerance is good, apply lactic acid 10% ampoule (2 ml) sparingly with a fan brush to areas requiring renewal (generally entire face, neck and décolleté for this protocol). Limit time to 2–3 minutes initially for most skin types; reduce time for reactive or sensitive skin. Continuously observe client comfort and erythema: mild pink is acceptable; stinging or intense burning warrants neutralization.
- 8
Neutralize chemical peel
After the prescribed time (2–3 minutes), immediately neutralize the lactic acid with the pH neutralizer solution (5 ml) applied gently with cotton pads or gauze. Remove completely with cool water or cool towels. Pat skin dry. Confirm skin pH has returned to comfortable levels and that erythema is within expected limits.
Extractions & Massage
- 9
Prepare for extractions
Reassess pore readiness after exfoliation and neutralization. If needed, apply a warm towel or short controlled steam (1–2 minutes) to soften comedones. Change gloves if contaminated.
- 10
Perform extractions
Using the comedone extractor and extraction gauze (use 1–2 gauze pieces per area), work methodically from less to more congested zones. Apply gentle, targeted pressure; do not force. After each extracted lesion, cleanse the area with a damp cotton pad. Limit the total extraction time to avoid overstimulation (typically 5–12 minutes depending on congestion).
- 11
Deep-cleansing massage
Apply 15 ml hydrating massage cream combined with up to 5 ml light facial oil as needed for slip. Perform a structured deep-cleansing massage for 8–12 minutes covering face, neck and décolleté: use effleurage to warm tissues, petrissage to mobilize congestion, and targeted myofascial/lymphatic strokes to promote drainage. Finish with lymphatic drainage motions using the jade roller or hands to encourage circulation and reduce post-extraction erythema.
Soothing Mask & LED
- 12
Apply eye patches and mask
Place hydrogel eye patches under the eyes (2 pieces). Mix and apply the soothing alginate or cream mask (30 g) evenly over face, neck and décolleté, avoiding the eye patches. Smooth the mask for even contact to maximize active delivery.
- 13
Optional LED therapy while mask sets
If using LED, set device to red/near-IR and treat for 8–12 minutes while the mask sets. LED will enhance soothing, collagen stimulation and reduce inflammation. If not using LED, allow mask to set for 10–15 minutes with client relaxed.
- 14
Remove mask and cool
Remove mask with cool damp towels. Gently pat skin dry. Follow with a brief cool compress or cryo tool over sensitive or freshly extracted areas for 1–2 minutes to reduce erythema and calm the skin.
Serums, Moisturizer & SPF Finish
- 15
Targeted serums
Dispense 2 ml stabilized Vitamin C serum and apply to the face, neck and décolleté using light pressure to promote absorption — avoid open extraction sites until healed. Follow with 2 ml peptide firming serum applied as a thin layer to areas of fine lines and laxity.
- 16
Moisturize and protect
Apply 5 ml hydrating, barrier-repair moisturizer evenly over the treatment area to restore lipids and calm the barrier. Finish with 1 pump of broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 30 applied to the face, neck and décolleté as the final step—educate the client on daily SPF importance, especially after exfoliation.
- 17
Aftercare briefing
Provide verbal and written aftercare: avoid direct sun and heavy exercise for 24–48 hours, use gentle cleansers, no active retinoids/strong acids for 3–5 days, apply calming moisturizer and SPF daily. Advise on signs of adverse reactions and provide contact details for concerns. Schedule follow-up treatments as indicated for hyperpigmentation or resurfacing protocols.
