Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine the buttermilk, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Add the chicken tenderloins to the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
Breading the Chicken
- 3
Prepare the Breading
In a shallow dish, mix together the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Bread the Chicken
Remove the marinated chicken tenderloins from the refrigerator. Shake off any excess marinade and coat each piece in the flour mixture. Ensure they are evenly covered and shake off any excess flour.
Frying the Chicken
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the breaded chicken tenderloins to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- 7
Drain the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken tenderloins from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
