Preparation
- 1
Prepare Tortilla Shells
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the tortilla shells in an oven-safe muffin tin to help them hold their shape. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until they are slightly crispy and golden. Remove from the oven and let cool.
- 2
Prepare the Salad Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the smoked beef and adult chili. Stir until well mixed. If desired, season with salt and pepper to taste.
Assembly
- 3
Fill Tortilla Shells
Once the tortilla shells are cool, spoon the smoked beef and chili mixture evenly into each shell.
- 4
Add Toppings
Top each filled tortilla shell with a generous dollop of sour cream, followed by shredded jack cheese, chopped green onions, and chopped cilantro.
- 5
Serve
Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the salad just before eating.
