Prepare the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Make sure to cover the entire surface of the meat.

Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour 1 cup of barbecue sauce over the meat. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, carefully remove the pork from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Shred the pork with two forks and return it to the slow cooker. Add the remaining barbecue sauce and mix well.

Prepare the Buns
Slice the hamburger buns in half and lightly toast them if desired.

On the bottom half of each bun, add a generous portion of the shredded barbecue pork. Top with coleslaw and a few pickles, then place the top half of the bun on top.
