Meat Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Beef Brisket

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Place the beef brisket in a roasting pan and cover it tightly with foil. Cook for about 3-4 hours until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart.

  2. 2

    Add Barbecue Sauce

Once the brisket is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes. Shred or slice the brisket and mix it with the barbecue sauce in a bowl until well coated.

Slaw Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until the cabbage and carrot are well coated in the dressing.

  2. 4

    Chill the Slaw

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the slaw for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

To assemble the barbecue beef sandwich, place a generous portion of the barbecue beef on the bottom half of each hamburger bun. Top with a scoop of slaw and two slices of pickles.

  2. 6

    Serve

Place the top half of the bun on the sandwich and serve immediately while warm.
