Method

Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture

  1. 1

    Whip the Cream

In a large mixing bowl, pour the heavy cream and whip it using an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Mix Mascarpone and Sugar

In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

  4. 4

    Add Egg Yolks

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks until slightly thickened. Carefully fold the egg yolks into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.

Prepare the Coffee Mixture

  1. 5

    Brew the Coffee

Brew 300 ml of espresso coffee and let it cool slightly. If using, add the coffee liqueur to the coffee and stir to combine.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. 6

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger biscuit into the coffee mixture. Ensure they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

In a rectangular dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.

  3. 8

    Repeat Layers

Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers on top of the mascarpone layer, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

  4. 9

    Chill the Dessert

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  5. 10

    Serve

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder using a fine sieve. Cut into squares and enjoy your Tiramisu!
