Method
Steak
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Take the sirloin steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking.
- 2
Season the Steak
Rub the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 3
- 4
Rest the Steak
Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steaks from the grill and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) for fries.
- 6
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Fry the Potatoes
Drain and dry the potatoes thoroughly with a kitchen towel. Fry them in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 9
Season the Fries
While still hot, sprinkle the fries with salt to taste.
Garlic Butter
- 10
Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 11
Add Parsley
Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh parsley. Season with salt to taste.
