Prepare the Romaine Lettuce
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Remove any damaged leaves, and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place the chopped romaine in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Croutons and Cheeses
Sprinkle the croutons over the chopped romaine lettuce. Then, evenly distribute the shaved Italian cheeses on top.
Caesar Dressing Preparation

Make the Dressing
In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, chopped anchovy fillets, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and well combined.
- 4
Adjust Seasoning
Taste the dressing and adjust seasonings if necessary. You can add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice according to your preference.
Assembly
- 5
Combine Salad and Dressing
Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the romaine lettuce, croutons, and cheeses in the salad bowl. Gently toss to combine and ensure everything is evenly coated with the dressing.
- 6
Serve
Serve the Caesar salad immediately for the best freshness. Enjoy as an entrée portion with your favorite protein if desired.
