Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Cheese Filling
In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 2 cups of shredded mozzarella, 0.5 cups of grated Parmesan, the egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until smooth.

Layer the Ingredients
In a large baking dish, spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom. Add half of the cooked rigatoni over the sauce. Then, spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the rigatoni. Pour another cup of marinara sauce over the cheese layer. Repeat the layers with the remaining rigatoni, cheese mixture, and finish with the last cup of marinara sauce on top.

Add Toppings and Bake
Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella and 0.25 cups of grated Parmesan over the top of the dish. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown.

Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious baked rigatoni!
