Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the olive oil over both sides of the steaks. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

Grilling the Steak

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, about 450°F (232°C).

  2. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the steaks on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Rosemary

Place a sprig of fresh rosemary on each steak during the last minute of grilling to infuse flavor.

  4. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into large chunks.

  2. 8

    Boil the Potatoes

Place the potato chunks in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until tender.

  3. 9

    Drain and Mash

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plate the Dish

Slice the ribeye steaks and serve alongside a generous scoop of mashed potatoes.

  2. 11

    Enjoy

Garnish with additional rosemary if desired, and enjoy your grilled ribeye steak with creamy mashed potatoes!
