Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Form Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Use the back of a measuring cup to help compress it.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until set and slightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool while you prepare the filling.

Cheesecake Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese using an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add in the granulated sugar and sour cream, mixing until fully incorporated and smooth.

  3. 7

    Add Vanilla and Eggs

Mix in the vanilla extract. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. 8

    Incorporate Flour

Finally, sprinkle in the all-purpose flour and mix on low speed until just combined.

  5. 9

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.

  6. 10

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  7. 11

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and crack the oven door. Let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour. Then, remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
