Cocktail Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Berries
Wash the mixed berries thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel. If using strawberries, hull and slice them into smaller pieces for easier blending.
- 2
Muddle the Berries
In a cocktail shaker, add the prepared mixed berries. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently mash the berries, releasing their juices. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
- 3
Add Remaining Ingredients
To the muddled berries, add vodka, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice cubes, enough to fill it halfway.
- 4
Shake the Cocktail
Secure the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well-chilled.
- 5
Strain and Serve
Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass, discarding the solids. This will leave you with a smooth, berry-infused martini.
- 6
Garnish
Garnish the drink with a few fresh mint leaves floating on top for a refreshing aroma and presentation.
