Method
Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips, approximately 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, place all-purpose flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second bowl, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in the third bowl.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip into the flour, ensuring it is well coated. Shake off the excess flour. Then, dip the chicken in the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked tenders to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Fries
- 6
Prepare the Fries
In another large skillet or fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- 7
Fry the Fries
Add the frozen French fries to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- 8
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
