Preparing the Tuna

Pat the yellow fin tuna steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Carefully place the seasoned tuna steaks in the hot skillet. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your desired doneness.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, grated fresh ginger, honey, rice vinegar, wasabi paste, and sesame oil until well combined.

Slice the seared tuna steaks into thin strips and arrange them on a serving platter.
