Preparation of Tuna

Prepare the Tuna Steaks
Ensure the tuna steaks are sushi-grade. Pat them dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Sear the Tuna
Carefully place the tuna steaks in the hot skillet. Sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the outside is golden brown but the inside remains rare.

Rest the Tuna
Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
Ginger-Soy Dipping Sauce

Mix the Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, grated ginger, honey, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Whisk together until well blended.
Wasabi Dipping Sauce

Prepare Wasabi Sauce
In another small bowl, mix the wasabi paste with water until smooth and well combined.
Serving

Slice and Serve
Slice the rested tuna steaks into thin strips. Arrange them on a plate and serve with the ginger-soy dipping sauce and wasabi sauce on the side.
